We react differently to color. That’s why it’s so important to hire a professional stager to stage a bedroom along with other important areas in the home. The style of the home and permanent fixtures are some protocols that will determine the right color to attract a higher dollar amount at closing. Our desire to be attracted to certain colors along with other factors include age which is why it’s important to know the demographics of that area to attract the masses. The stager will choose the right color to set the mood for high profits. Color can affect the size of the room making it appear smaller and darker or larger and brighter which is pertinent in selling a home.

The Bedroom is said to be a sanctuary, a place to retreat from a busy day. It’s important to portray the room as a relaxing and cozy space. A cluttered room or a loud patterned quilt doesn’t scream Relaxation! So having a Certified Stager strategically layer the bedding with plush linens and fresh pillows topped with a cozy throw is sure to make anyone want to crawl in.

Making emotional connections with Lifestyle vignettes or objects will draw the people’s hearts to the space. They will fall in love and say “yes! This is the home I want to buy.” Placing a nice tray on the bed with either a book with reading glasses and small vase of flowers or a small espresso maker/teapot with coffee/tea cups with a nicely folded tea towel or a napkin and some small greenery or faux food so the buyer can envision themselves living that lifestyle in that space.

The right lighting is everything. It affects color and provides intentionality. Having updated lighting is eye candy as it draws the eye and sets the mood, style and feel of the space, whether it’s a beautiful chandelier, wrought iron, an interesting shape, color or glass model. Natural lighting is the best lighting to make the room appear spacious, brighter and cheerful so please no heavy draperies or cheap shades blocking the windows please! Neutral or light patterned drapery panels can be appropriate for the bedroom to show privacy and to add warmth to the space. Using the proper light bulbs in a bedroom is crucial. Using a soft white bulb with a color temperature of 1,700-3,000 Kelvin will give that atmosphere of relaxing and restful feel. 3 different kinds of lighting is important for the perfect Bedroom getaway feel. 1:Decorative-Lamps or pendant lighting next to the bed for convenience and with a dimmer option to use either as a reading lamp or to brighten the whole room. 2:Ambient-It’s the lighting all around the room including recessed lighting, floor lamps, table lamps and natural light. 3:Specialty -This lighting is all about complimenting something whether it’s to feature special artwork or unique wall coverings.
